Adding and Generating Documents

1. Overview

A new feature is now available in SmartMCA that allows users to create and upload their own document templates into the system and then generate documents off of those templates. The feature is available for applications and deals. This user guide provides instructions on accessing and creating documents for deals and applications. As well as emailing, downloading and searching for documents.

2. Application Documents

2.1. Accessing Application Documents

a. To begin, navigate to the 'MCA Deals' section.

b. Click on 'Applications' and locate the specific application you're working on.

c. Double-click on the application to open it.

2.1.1. Adding Documents

a. Within the application, find the 'File Uploads' tab.

b. Click the 'Add Document' button on the right.

c. Choose to add a template or upload a file manually from the dropdown. These two options are used as follows:

i. Upload File Manually: Upload a file manually from your computer.

ii. Generate Document from Template: Choose a template from the system to generate document.

Note: Either choice will upload the document and store it in the File Uploads section.

d. Type in a document name.

e. For the Generate Document From Template option:

i. Choose a template from the dropdown.

ii. Add custom document inputs (if required).

iii. Choose an output format (PDF or Word).

iv. Add a description (optional).

v. Click Generate.

2.1.2. Emailing, Downloading and Searching for Documents

a. To email a document, click the checkbox for one or more documents and click Email. Fill in the email addresses you wish to send to and click the Email button.

b. To download documents, select one or more documents and click Download All.

c. To search for a document, type in the document title into the search bar of the document name, or if you created a description, search for that in the description search bar.

3. Adding Documents to Deals

a. Access 'MCA Deals' and double-click on the desired deal.

b. Click on the 'Related Docs' tab.

c. You will find the same layout of buttons and options for adding documents described in section 2.2 above.
